Which One?

Choosing where to serve with AYS can be difficult. Peru is great because it's at an orphanage and everyone visits Machu Pichu. Belize is fun because you speak the language of all the people and you'll see Book of Mormon ruins. Tonga is neat because it is so small yet has the most LDS members (as a percent) of any country in the world including the U.S. Fiji is a tropical paradise with the work project often right next to the beach and with super friendly locals. Despite all of these great places, Brazil is my favorite!. The weather is fantastic in June and July because it is winter in Brazil and temperatures in the the Rio area are always in the 70s. The ocean is still warm at the beach. This expedition has excursions to two of the natural wonders of the world; Rio harbor and Iguacu Falls. In Rio we'll visit the awesome sites like Copacabana beach, Sugarloaf and the Christ statue. Iguacu makes Niagra Falls look tiny - you'll be blown away. The group stays in its own little "compound" right in the middle of a Brazilian village where you'll feel like one of the locals. The house that we will construct is so needed with the opportunity to work side by side with the boys who will live there. You will be able to really interact with the Brazilians who are so happy, fun loving and friendly. You'll love it! I say make it Brazil!!
